Divided We Fall - A Science-Fiction, Spy/Intrigue RP Pitch

Hi there! Thanks for clicking.

My name is NotAFlyingToy, also known as Naft, and I want to take you on a bit of an experimental journey.

The setting: Deep space, five hundred years into the future, where help is a huge jump away and your family is nothing more than a collection of faces on a television screen. You?ve been selected, among six others, to operate on the Space Station Divided We Fall. The project - dubbed Deep Space Project 3 by the United Earth Coalition - is simple; see how humans can stand the test of time, pressure, and resources to achieve top medical, scientific, and psychological results.

The premise: Terrorists and fundamentalists hate the DSP3 project and would rather see hunks of burning scrap metal fly through space then live under the oppressive heel of the UEC. Among the six people sent aboard the space station, one of you is a fanatic, a man or woman sent there to demolish and break down the life aboard as you know it, at any cost. There?s only one problem; everybody is a suspect. The life aboard Divided We Fall is on a very real and very limiting ticking clock, and when everyone on board discovers that there?s a traitor in their midst, it?s only a matter of time before someone dies... or everyone does.

The information:
From the word ?go?, the roleplay will be a very structured affair. Each of the positions assigned to players will need to bear in mind their objectives, with the ?terrorist? player being in contact with the GM. The roleplay allows for some secrecy, so contact between players and the GM is not only encouraged, but fairly required.

There will be six roles in this roleplay:

The Scientist
The Engineer
The Security
The Doctor
The Custodian
The Captain

Each of these roles will be decided at the time of the RP launch, based upon character profiles submitted. After the opening posts are done, the GM will select one role (any of the six) as the traitor character. The player of the traitor will then be allowed to do posts in ?secret? - for instance, locking a door and going inside of it will allow for the traitor to post without the other players seeing, to keep them honest, if the traitor player so chooses.

That is the proposal. To try something new and experimental, something that could either be a gigantic failure, or a great amount of fun - but either way, all participants will have learned something.

Interested? Drop me a comment below, and let?s see how much attention this gathers.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you.
